When I first started my cooking journey, I got really into reading the ingredients on everything. I was honestly so shocked at what was in the treats I was buying for Scout, and I got right to work developing some quick and easy homemade dog treats. These oat and apple dog pretzels are so simple to make with just 4 ingredients, and I know exactly what I’m giving to my fur babies. They’re healthy with no added fat or sugar– a perfect treat for pups!

Tips for Success

These pretzels are a treat and are not meant to replace your dogs’ meals. Allow the treats to fully cool before giving them to your furry friend. I use gluten-free flour and oats. Just like humans, dogs can be sensitive to gluten, so I like to err on the side of caution.

How to Store

These oat and apple dog pretzels will keep well for up to 2 weeks. Let them cool completely and keep them stored at room temperature in an airtight container to keep them fresh. Preferably place them in a high cupboard where inquisitive noses can’t reach!
