Melting chocolate can be such a chore, but I have found that it’s way easier in the slow cooker. These white chocolate haystacks are stirred together in the crockpot, and there’s no risk of burning the chocolate or little hands. My kids love helping me make these Christmas haystack cookies, and I love making them in my slow cooker. They’re crunchy, sweet, and so delicious!
Tips for Success
Be sure to spray your crockpot with nonstick spray before adding the ingredients. If you don’t have a slow cooker, you can make these white chocolate haystacks on the stovetop. Add the chocolate, noodles, and peanuts to a pot on low heat, and stir occasionally while the chocolate melts. Don’t have it on too high a heat or the chocolate will burn.
How to Store
Once your white chocolate haystacks have set, transfer them to an airtight container with the layers separated with parchment and keep them in the fridge. They will keep well for up to a week. I like to take them out of the fridge about 30 minutes before enjoying them so that they are slightly softer.
