How To Make a Chicken Caesar Wrap Step by Step

Grill the Chicken: Brush the grates of a grill or an indoor grill pan with 3 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and set over medium heat. Add 1 boneless, skinless chicken breast and grill for 10 minutes on each side until cooked through to 165°F. Let chicken rest for 5 minutes, then slice into 10 thin strips. Set aside. Grill the Lettuce: Add 2 romaine lettuce hearts broken into leaves in the same grill pan and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side until slightly charred. Then set aside. Slice the Cucumber: Thinly slice 1 cucumber into little matchsticks. Fill the Wraps: Open 10 mini flour tortillas, spread with ⅓ cup of Caesar salad dressing, add 2 charred lettuce leaves, a slice of the chicken, 2 croutons, 2-3 cucumber sticks, and sprinkle some Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Fold the Wraps: Wrap like a burrito, then cut in half. You can use a toothpick to keep the shape intact. Dip it in some more Caesar salad dressing, and enjoy!

What’s in This Chicken Caesar Wrap Recipe?

Have you ever wished your chicken Caesar salad was portable? Us too! Turns out all we had to do was put it in a wrap, and now we can take our favorite salad with us everywhere– no mess!

Seasoned Chicken: Boneless, skinless chicken breasts are sliced into bite-sized pieces and seasoned with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Lettuce: A classic Caesar is made with crunchy romaine lettuce. Iceberg also works. Croutons: Add a bit of crunch to the wraps. If you have leftover bread, you can make our own homemade croutons! Caesar Dressing: This creamy, flavorful dressing is what really make this a Caesar wrap. Cheese: We’re partial to Parmesan, but use whatever cheese you love. Tortillas: We like flour tortillas for these wraps, but spinach would also be delish!

Notes from the Test Kitchen

This wrap has all of the classic flavors of a Caesar salad. All you need is some seasoned chicken, lettuce, croutons, and Parmesan cheese! One-handed eating has never been easier! These are perfect for work lunches.

Variations on a Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap

You can really use any kind of chicken for these wraps! A classic Caesar salad usually has pan-seared chicken or grilled chicken breasts, but we also love Instant Pot shredded chicken, air fryer chicken breast, crispy baked chicken fingers, baked chicken thighs, or oven-fried chicken breast.

How to Store and Reheat

Store leftover chicken Caesar wraps tightly wrapped in plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. We prefer to enjoy these wraps chilled!

Serving Suggestions

Serve this tasty chicken Caesar wrap with a side of chips or fries. We love sweet potato chips, apple chips, garlic Parmesan fries, or avocado fries. There are just so many options!

How to Make a Chicken Caesar Wrap Step by Step

Prep the Chicken: Place 1½ pounds of sliced boneless, skinless chicken breasts in a bowl. Add in 2 tablespoons of olive oil, the juice of ½ lemon, ½ teaspoon of kosher salt, ½ teaspoon of garlic powder, ½ teaspoon of onion powder, and ¼ teaspoon of ground black pepper. Toss the chicken until it’s fully coated. Heat the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet set over medium heat. Once heated, add in the chicken, cooking on both sides for 3-4 minutes until browned on the edges and cooked through. Allow the chicken to cool a bit. Fill the Wraps: In a salad bowl, toss together 4 cups of chopped romaine lettuce, 1 cup of croutons, ⅓ cup of Caesar dressing, and ¼ cup of shredded Parmesan cheese. Place an equal amount of the salad in the middle of each of 4 large flour tortillas, then top with cooked chicken. Fold the Wraps: Fold the tortilla up from the bottom, then fold in the sides, and roll up into a burrito.
